Israel Valente
Israel Valente is Brazilian. He holds a Master in Human Geography by the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Cultural Studies from the Santiago de Compostela University in Spain and started investigations on post-doctorate studies.
20 years
Israel has studied and analysed Afro-Latin communities throughout 10 years of his doctoral research. For over 20 years, he has been travelling the world with a focus on countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Nigeria, Morocco, Turkey, Germany, the UK, Sweden, France, Portugal, and Switzerland.
Exchange and Dialog
He has built up and maintains exchange and dialog with cultural associations, universities and different social actors from all these countries and further neighbouring regions of the world.
